Mike I enjoyed the QSO. - I have a few photos at QRZ.com. At http://picasaweb.google.com/s9ss160m I have many more, including some of the VOA transmitting stations where I served. The picasaweb albums are best viewed using the slideshow mode with the browser set for full page. Last time I tried, it didn't work well with I.E. It works well for me with Firefox or Chrome. Some of the earlier photos are low res since our first digital camera was only good for 2.1 megapixels. - I looked for WB2AJI in my A22AA, S92SS, SV0LM and A25/KY4P logs, but didn't find any QSO's under those calls. - Your web site is excellent. It is well executed and has a lot of interesting and informative things to read. - When you called, I was signing off with my S9SS QSL manager, N4JR. We sked every Thursday starting around 8:45 our time. Feel free to join us. - 73, Charles

Thanks for the nice QSO. Re-living the memories of Bahr's Rest. in the Highlands and your early digs in Matawan. Perhaps we'll hook up again. Look for my card, and thanks for Polk county.

Thanks for the comments on cable length and amplifier input SWR. It was written in a way that I could understand it without being an RF engineer like most I have read. I did not have this issue with an Ameritron AL-811 but with an AL-80B I do. You gave me some answers and a direction to resolving the issue and a better understanding of it.

Hello Jim,
The Orion II I just purchased dosen't have the ALC out that my Alpha 86 needs for proper operation. How did you handle that with your Alpha 76 and Orion II ?

Thanks for taking the time to stop and chat. I enjoyed meeting you on the air and your family through the website. I took your advice and adjusted the ALC on my 02 as you suggested. Thanks.

Hopefully the propagation gods will prevail and we'll be able to talk again.

Happy Thanksgiving,

Very nice web-page , I enjoyed looking at the pictures , and as most amateurs ,I can only dream about the space you have to put up your antenna's !

My QTH-antenna is a simple dipole antenna , but I want to put on the roof a slim-jim for 6m , since it + 5 or +6 dB , but the transmit angle is very low , ideal for DX-work .

Meanwhile I found out that 6m really falls on your roof , it is there or not !

It was nice working you at 50.110 MHz , as sudden as the band opened up , as sudden as it closed down , but we had a nice QSO !

Het allerbeste ermee en tot een volgende keer , 73

Hello Mike,

I just admired your QSK mod for the HF-2500. I have aquired one (serial number 339) and used it in this week end's WAE CW contest with good results. Using this amp with real QSK would be perfect for me - would appreciate if you could send me the diagram.

Regards from Munich,
